Thirteen Things about BULL RIDING
My next release, Cat and Mouse is due out on 1 October. I panicked a little when I realized it was just over a week away. Duncan Ross, the hero, is a feline shifter. He also participates in rodeos as a bull rider, hence the topic for my TT today.

Today it’s Spring Equinox in New Zealand, which means the sun is ready to officially spend more time in the southern hemisphere than the northern. I must admit I’m ready for warm, despite having had summer for most of the year. (we had a loooong summer here and then I had seven weeks of USA summer). The good thing is that my heavy winter clothes haven’t left the wardrobe. Yeah, bring on the shorts weather, I say.
For the month of October I’m participating in the Raven Annual Scavenger hunt. This year I’m giving away a print copy of Midnight Treat (signed by me). Watch this space for details.
I have a new cover. It’s for my 31 December release, Cat Burglar. Here it is….

And finally, I’ve had a few anxious moments with my computer, one of them this morning. I go to push the power button and nothing happens. The next few minutes I spend quietly panicking before I go into technician mode. This is where I crawl under my desk and pull out plugs and put them back in their sockets. Thankfully, this worked this morning, after I crawled under the desk twice and tried pulling out different plugs. Before I turn everything off tonight I’m backing up. I have my flashdrives ready to go. Meanwhile, if I disappear for a few days you’ll know my technician skills have failed and I’ve had to call in recruitments.

I can’t believe it. Despite the weathermen telling us we’re in for yet more storms and rain, today is sunny and warm. Everyone is drying out a little after the weather bomb from the weekend. Me – I’m looking forward to sunshine and heat so that I can wear shorts. No one knows me over there in the US so it doesn’t matter if I dazzle anyone with my winter-white legs. I’m actually packed and very organized. I think I’ll even have time for a final bike ride tomorrow. We’re meeting up with friends at the airport. I can’t wait to see everyone.
It’s my nephew’s birthday today, and I spent the morning making cupcakes and updating my website. I have release dates for two Ellora’s Cave releases. Fringe Benefit will come out on 14 November and Cat Burglar is out on 31 December. That takes my total releases for the year to ten. Hard to believe I’ve done all these books, but I have worked hard. I’m ready for a six-week break.
There are blurbs and excerpts up for the two new books. Just follow the links from the coming soon page. I’ve also put up new articles- one for readers and one for writers. They’re under the extras tab.
I’m off to do a final few things. Be good!

I have a new interview up at Manic Readers. BTW, if you’re an author you can sign up for a free page at Manic Readers. Here’s mine.
Yay! I have a new sale to report. I’ve sold a Quickie to Ellora’s Cave. It’s called Fringe Benefits and is a friends with benefits story as well as a threesome. It’s a hot little number.
Finally, we had a fine day today, and I went for a long cycle ride. Unfortunately all that fresh air was a bit too stimulating for my brain, because I had two ideas for stories and one in particular is screaming, “Write. Me. Now.” Not gonna happen. I’ve done a note to jog my memory at a later date, and I’m ploughing ahead with my sci-fi story.
We went out for lunch with friends yesterday and had both great food and company. I take my camera with me everywhere and decided I needed a photo of my cherry beer. I’d taken a couple of sips. A passing waiter asked if I’d like some froth on top for my photo. “Yes, please!” I said and he took away my drink, returning seconds later with some nice froth on top. Wasn’t he nice?
Did you have a fun weekend?

This is the cover for my next release, Price of Love, which is due out on 2 July. I really like this gem cover. This is my favorite so far, although the pearl one is a close second. Price of Love is a feline shifter story and here’s a link to an excerpt.

Lovers at Last is out today from Ellora’s Cave.

Pearl’s master plan to catch a rich husband—results so far…A for effort, F for success.
Justin Collet wants way more than friendship from Pearl. He craves love, laughter and hot, down-and-dirty passion. A life partner. All he needs to do is convince Pearl.
A broken relationship, a few drinks and a string of pearls. Comforting Pearl takes a turn into carnal territory. Heat blossoms between them, fiery and consuming. Sweet kisses inflame and erotic whispers tempt. It’s all or nothing for Justin as he seduces Pearl into agreeing they’re lovers at last.
Buy your copy here.
I’m also guest blogging over at the CataNetwork today and talking about wedding anniversaries.

I received awesome news in my inbox today. I’ve sold Cat Burglar, the sixth book in my Middlemarch Mates series to Ellora’s Cave. Yesterday, I finished writing the first draft of book seven. I tell you, I’ve been on a roll with my feline shifters recently.
The final days of Brenda Novak’s auction for Diabetes Research are under way. There are raffle tickets on sale for $20 each. The raffle ticket aimed at writers is particularly interesting. I have my ticket already. The Reader’s raffle is for a Kindle so hurry and get your ticket. There’s only a day left.
Today I’m also blogging over at the Danger Zone about writing adventure stories.

I spent the afternoon at my favorite shopping center today and found myself trying on a couple of outfits. What on earth do they do to the lights and mirrors in store changing rooms? I want to know – the image that reflects back in the mirror… Oy! Scary stuff. I’m sure that wasn’t me! Was it?
I’m heading straight back to the writing cave now, but on Friday I’m going to have a special day all about kisses with the odd random prize or two. I hope you have a chance to visit.
I’ve added a couple of articles to my For Readers page including a photo essay for Never Send a Dog to do a Woman’s Job and also an article about the real Ellora’s Cave.
Okay, I fibbed. I’m going to have a cup of tea and a Timtam first and then hit the writing cave. Middlemarch calls…

My special guest today is erotic romance author, Lillian Feisty. Lillian has a new romantic comedy out today with Ellora’s Cave called I love Lacy. You’ll find Feisty hanging out at Naughty and Spice and also Romance Divas and at the moment she’s very busy working on a new project.
Today Feisty is talking about body image in romance, and it’s a subject dear to my heart. I’ll be interested to hear what you say.
