When I attended a conference in Denver, Colo. a decade back, I knew when we were flying over Wisconsin again by the change in roads below. Over Iowa and Nebraska they were straight, as though laid out in a grid. In Wisconsin, they twist and turn to follow hills, bluffs and rivers. I much prefer our scenic winding roads. ;-)
