I thought I’d share a few photos from Africa with you today.
This is our campsite at the Okavango Delta in Botswana.
And these are the canoes we traveled in. There wasn’t much water clearance, and we had to move very carefully!
Now moving on to Zimbabwe…
This is our campsite at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. See the warthog visitor!
Check out those tusks!
Some of the other wild life. These gazelles are a bit more shy.
But this fella wants to know what’s going on!
Has this whetted your appetite for a romance with both a New Zealand and African setting? I have the perfect one for you …
Have a Romantic Interlude in Africa today.

Were you scared of the warthog? I would be…

This particular one hung around the camp and was rather quiet. In the wild you generally don’t get very close. They’re really funny to look at when they run because their tails stick straight up like antennas.

I love the little monkey looking right at you…oh and that was slick, adding that cover at the end…:)

Africa was an experience rather than a holiday, that’s for sure.

We shall have to nickname you the Queen of transitions. That was slick the way you encouraged interest in the African wild then moved to that HOT cover, which fit perfectly with your topic :-)

LOL – I was rather proud of the transition.

That warthog seemed awfully close. Isn’t he dangerous?

They can be, Maria, but this one was quiet and hung around the camp. Those tusks aren’t for decoration.

Oh! Shelley! Now you made me want to visit Africa. Such nature. The wild vibrant colors are all so wonderful.

I’m glad you enjoyed the photos, Nas :)

Wow, Shelley, what beautiful pictures. They made me very homesick as I used to manage a lodge in the Okavango Delta which is where I met my now husband, a Norwegian bush pilot.
Now I’m going to have to read your book! (I’m an Australian but New Zealand is a pretty cool place, too!).
