Super Moon and Starting Over

SUPER MOON

Most of you will have heard about the recent super moon – a full moon that’s larger than normal because the moon is closer to Earth. Hubby and I were disappointed when we checked it out last night. The moon looked pretty, but not much larger than normal. The photos didn’t come out that well but you’ll get the idea. Bella, our puppy, came along to see what the fuss was about. (Click on the photos to get a larger version)

STARTING OVER

One of our local television stations is currently advertising for applicants for a new reality-type show. They want people who are interested in starting a new job/career.

I wondered what I could do if I started over. I would definitely start writing a lot sooner than I did, and I think I’d like to be a travel agent or something that relates to the tourism industry.

If you were starting over, what career choice would you make?

I would go into a research science field.

Debra, that would be interesting. Any particular field interest you?

I would probably do something that has to do with my other passion which is music.

Ah, music would suit you perfectly, Savannah.

I heard about the moon, but never had a chance to check it out. Thanks for snapping a picture of it.

I saw some wonderful photos that other people had taken. I was underwhelmed.

You’re pictures of the moon came out better than mine did. I did go out to see it though.

I think I would probably not do anything different.

Mary, i just used my little digital camera, but I thought the moon would look much bigger than it did.

I didn’t get to check out the super moon. Had a super day in super heat so ended up hitting the hay super early.

If I could start over, I would do something regarding reading. I love reading so I’d want to do something in that wide realm.

Angela – anything book related would be good. Would you like to be an editor or an agent?

I didn’t see the super moon. As for the reality show, I really don’t want to start over…

Brinda, there’s nothing you’d like to try? Even for a week or so?

It was a little too hazy by me to see the super moon. :(

If I had a second chance to try something new I’d become an archeologist. I can’t seem to get away from digging in the dirt.

LOL – you could also be a gardener or a fencer. They both dig in the ground :)

Yeah, I felt the same way when I saw the moon the other night… didn’t look too much bigger. Hmm if I had my time over, I’d like to be an archeologist:)

I attempted to photograph Saturday’s Super Moon as well. Local news channels kept reminding people that it would be at its closest at 10:34pm our time. Apparently, what they forgot to mention was that it would actually look bigger 2 or 3 hours before that. NOT that we could see the moon here at 7pm. We had overcast skies all day, which had the moon playing hide-and-seek with clouds all night.
