That is so cool. I’m not sure I’d have the nerve to ride such a huge animal.

There was a keeper with us as well. He had good control of his elephant.

Up close they have freckles on their trunks and ears. So cute.

Reality check. An ex circus elephant killed its vet keeper last week very near to where we live. It had been in a distressed state before leaving the circus but over the last few years, with a large enclosure and excellent care, it had become much better. Apparently it had become frightened and was trying to “protect” its keeper, how ironic! Even in captivity they are very dangerous.
