Well there’s the truth right in your face…interesting article…
Even though I’m not a writer…I do spend a tremendous amount of my free time dedicated to my online activities…blogging, facebook, emails etc. Time better spent…READING! I’ve noticed that I haven’t been reading as much as usual b/c I’m too busy catching up on the gazillion blogs I follow and updating my own. *sigh*

This is a big reason why I cut back on my blog, because it just wasn’t generating sales. But I like that man-hour portion. That we need to spend the time on what makes the money.
I sent you an email back. HUGS!

Very interesting article. I have a 2 blogs where I review books and I use them to push myself in reading as I have a goal of reading over 200 books a year. I do think that for someone like a writer that social media is a huge distraction, I know alot of authors who complain about having trouble with their deadlines but spend alot of time doing Twitter and Facebook. I don’t think it’s necessary at all and frankly I rarely sign into twitter these days and the same for Facebook. I think that Rob Eager is completely correct and I intend to forward his article to some people I know. Thanks!

I use Facebook and my blog pretty much everyday. I used to use MySpace, twitter and the blog on yahoo profiles as well but I don’t use those as much anymore.
That was a very thought provoking article though.
