I took this photo at Wellington Zoo a few weeks ago. I can stand and watch the merkats for hours. They’re so cute and feisty. Seeing them standing upright and on guard never fails to make me smile.

I love the meercats! There was a tv show called Meercat Manor over here, but I could never watch the whole thing.
My dog, Tank, likes to watch tv and he would get all excited whenever the little things would show up.
He would whine and sniff the tv–then I couldn’t see anything over his BIG head. LOL.

I did the same when I was last in a zoo. they are so funny to watch, sometimes they even look human,

Oh, meerkats are my favorite! When I go to the zoo, they’re always the animal I spend the most time observing. And I loved the TV show Meerkat Manor, until I had to stop watching because it routinely made me cry. I’m such a softie when it comes to hurt animals, even if it is considered the “natural order” of life in the wild.

Maria – I love Meerkat Manor. It’s a fun show, but boy is that Flower bossy. I think she’s been kicked out since I watched the show last time. Tank must be funny watching the show. I imagine trying to watch TV might be difficult with him around.

Gattina – the baby ones are extra cute. I love watching them.
Cari – yes, it was hard watching the show when one was hurt or injured. I’m a bit of a softie when it comes to animals.
