This is a shot of the Chateau, a luxury hotel nestled beneath Mt. Ruapehu in the Tongariro National Park. Mt Ruapehu is an active volcano that rumbles to life every now and then.

    Ahh, Shelley, you’re making me feel homesick for New Zealand. Which is pretty strange considering I’m an Australian, but I lived for 14 years in New Zealand and there are still things I miss. But not the cold. lol

    Wow! That’s beautiful! I’d love to see it, but I wouldn’t want to live to close to an occasionally active volcano.
