I enjoy watching a good game of rugby, and it’s no secret that I gain hero inspiration while I’m watching all those players run up and down the field. I also like reading romance, so I was excited to hear Harlequin is releasing some rugby related romances. The first book, the Prince’s Waitress Wife by Sarah Morgan launches on 1 February.
Here’s a link to the Rugby Football Union page with the story.
And speaking of rugby romances, I’m ahead of the times because I have two stories out already with Ellora’s Cave. Issy’s Infatuation is about women’s rugby while Best Man is an m/m story that features two rugby players.
And finally, I have a cover for my February 27 release, Leticia’s Lovers. You can find a blurb and excerpt if you follow this link.

Such an evil woman to taunt me this way. Love both those short stories about rugby BTW. They are both Quickies aren’t they? I think they are. Either way I give them both two thumbs up but I like the Best Man better. Excellent cover as well even if it is mean to taunt me.
Hugs!

I am a big football fan, but I have never seen a rugby game. I read the sports section of our paper daily, but don’t recall rugby ever being mentioned. Is it anything like football? Soccor is becoming a big thing here in Texas because so many Spanish people have come here, but football is much more popular still.

I love the new cover and will be counting down the days til Letitia, Charlie, and Gavin’s story is released. BTW only an author would call a few weeks wait not long.

Hi Gladys – rugby is different from football or soccer as we call it here in NZ. You can pick up the ball and run with it. Players tackle each other and it’s classified as a contact sport. USA does have a rugby team, but they’re not in the same class as the top teams from NZ, Australia, South Africa, England etc.
Brenda – thank you! LOL – I’ve lost all track of time with the holidays. It feels like January is almost over already.

Loved both books, but HELLO it’s to be expected from you! I totally enjoy a good book about romance and sports, it’s so hot
I will have to go to NZ or England one of these days because am tired of watching the game on tv. I want to be up front and center watching hot men tackle each other on the dirt….sorry my mind just wonders off….rofl

Thanks, Dayanna. You’ve made my day. It’s funny because I was muttering to hubby the other day about have rodeo withdrawal because there hadn’t been any on ESPN this month. We do have rodeo here but none handy. There are lots in the South Island.
Rugby season has almost started here. The only thing about watching rugby in person is that it’s a winter sport and often cold and raining. I watch most of my rugby on TV at home in the warm.

Oh rodeo, am going to my first ever this year!!!
I would not mind the cold but am not sure about raining, i guess it depends on how good the game is and how many layers i can put on…hehe

You’ll enjoy the rodeo. They’re lots of fun. My favorite is the bareback riding and the bull riding. I haven’t made up my mind whether these guys are skillful or plain stupid!
Quite true. Some games are worth facing the cold for because they’re fast-moving and plain fun. The Sevens rugby is fun to watch and it’s very fast paced. NZ are the current champions at this. I think they have a sevens tournament in San Diego every year as part of the circuit.
