Brothers In Arms Book Five

A man with everything except his heart’s desire.
Frederick Thorne, Duke of Ashland, has been in love with Brett Haversham for years. If the only way to have him is to give him what he wants Freddy will share him, in bed and out, with the woman Brett loves. The woman who was Freddy’s first love.

A man sacrificing everything for the past.
Brett Haversham is in love with two people he’s sworn never to touch. But his desires prove to be stronger than his resolve when they both set out to seduce him–together. The incredible sex they share overwhelms him.

A woman with nothing left to lose.
Anne Goode lost her fiance Bertie in the war. Now his younger brother Freddy is back, all grown up into the handsome and powerful duke. And he’s brought Bertie’s best friend Brett with him. Lonely and already ruined, Anne can’t resist taking both of them as her lovers. Is the uncontrollable desire between the three enough to heal the wounds of the past and overcome the problems of the present? They must accept love rather than retreat from it.

Hello this morning, this is a great post. I’m intrigued by your book. I have to say that my favourite historical time period is ancient times, but you don’t see a lot of romance books taking place then. I’m actually not doing a lot of historical reading lately, mostly contemps, mostly paranormals. But I love a good historical, and I’m looking forward to Anna Campbell’s new one. I think I gravitate toward the spicy locales, Regency time periods have gotten a little predictable, but a good author can rope me in no matter where or when.

I hear that a lot, about historicals in general and about Regencies. I hope you give them a try once in a while. I think there are some authors out there still doing great things with Regencies. My next book is set during WWII, another great period but one you don’t see that much of strangely enough. And I’d love to do a post-WWI, 1920′s story. As a matter of fact, I have one planned. ;-)

Samantha – I enjoy WWII and I wish more writers/readers liked this period. I have a Quickie written during this era at EC. I look forward to reading yours.

Like JK, I think I ODed on the Regency era and became a bit tired of it. This year I’ve returned and I’ve read a few more. Funnily enough I’ve continued to read erotic Regency, and I love the Brothers in Arms series.

Oh, I also like the Georgian era, which is a bit earlier than Regency. It was just as naughty but still very interesting and colorful. This year I’ve also read a few American-set Westerns. Hubby and I have both been watching Deadwood and love this series after we visited this year. If anyone is interested, check my Travel category for photos of the real Deadwood.

Ditto on the Regency OD, and like Shelley, I like the Georgian era. And historical westerns and something that is really hard to find these days – civil war romances. But mainly I’ve been reading contemps, urban fantasies, etc. So many books, so little time …

What was the name of your WWII quickie? I’m going to have to get it.

The Georgian period is one of my favorites, too. I’m not too keen on Westerns. But, it really depends on the book.

Thank you for your nice words about my Brothers In Arms!

I like Beth Williamson’s Westerns. She writes great characters and I always enjoy them.

You’re very welcome. Praise where praise is due.

My WWII story is called Unforgettable. It’s set in London.

    I love medievals and regencies.

My favorite historicals would have to be medievals. There’s nothing like reading about those wonderful castles that I want desperately to visit one day.

I’m claustrophobic, and I’ve found in the few castles I have been to that that is not a good thing, lol. Maybe that’s why I don’t read that many medievals.

I like visiting castles but I’ve noticed that the stairs on the narrow winding castles aren’t very wide. I have big feet and worry about mistepping and falling flat on my face or worse!!

I’m sort of torn these days–I’ve been really loving medievals and westerns… They’re completely different of course, but lots of hunky heroes in both settings ;)

I love all time periods, from historical to futuristic as long as it is romance!

I prefer Regency over Georgian but both are fun with the clothing and descriptions of England. I try to read at least one historical a month but it depends on what else ccaptures my attention.

Fedora ~ That’s quite a stretch between historicals, lol.

    Tamsyn ~ I’m with you. As long as it’s romance . . .

Lindsey ~ I like to read Georgian, Jo Beverly’s Malloren novels are a favorite.

I’m torn between Westerns and Regency romance. My love for Regency stems from my love for Jane Austen and reading anything that has to do with the time she was writing in and that society. As for Westerns, it’s because I live in the West and I love to experience what it was like back then, be it books or going to various events like Cheyenne’s Frontier Days.

Aw heck, I really like most any period, although I gravitate more toward non-American settings. The Wild West doesn’t do much for me, and I burned out on the US Civil War as a subgenre. But Regency, Georgian, medival, and pre-Roman — love ‘em all.
