Mate with me or die.

Lykaios is alpha and with only one day left until the Herangetta mating ritual, he must convince Samantha to mate with him and Arcas—a younger male, as beautiful as Lykaios, who is his second, his lover. He knows that if she doesn’t, she’ll die. How do you convince someone to believe in lycan customs if they don’t believe in lycans? Lykaios and Arcas set out to seduce Samantha. She must accept them both…for life.

Waving at Shell – hi girlfriend! Errr… sorry to be missing in action so long. You can send one of LA’s Alpha boyz over to spank me. :D

I love the power play between Alpha males and their women in stories – lots of clashing, emotional revelations, power plays… Alphas are wonderful for keeping the story dynamic and intense. And of course it always fun to read about the women that conquer them. ~wink~ xxx Kota

Hey Lakota – long time no see! I’ll be speaking to Laura about sending one of her boyz to “talk”to you.

Janet – I’m a huge fan of alphas too, as long as they don’t step over the line and go into abuse. They need to balance their bossiness with a streak of kindness.

My definition of Alpha Male– a man who knows when to say when yet knows when to be sensitive to his woman’s needs

Hi Shelly! Happy Belated Birthday!! I hope you got all you wished for!!

Hi, Laura and Shelley! Alpha males–I do like how they don’t sit around on their duffs but step up and do what needs to be done! And I agree that they’re fab as long as they stay on the protective side rather than the controlling side of the line :)

Oh yeah, give me an alpha male! At least when it comes to fantasy.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, Stephanie. I had a great day.

Fedora – definitely. I like a man who sees what needs doing and springs into action. Of course he doesn’t always see things the same way as me, but that’s another discussion entirely!

LOL Jory – You’ve got that right. The alpha male isn’t always easy to live with when it comes to real life.

I love alpha males. They are strong and protective.

    Hey Shelley and L.A.:
Fantasy alpha males are probably better than real ones IMO. The flip side of protective is possessive, which can make me feel like a caged bird. But I love reading about them.

The perfect alpha male knows when NOT to ask permission, but never crosses that line…

Nicola – that’s the perfect description for an alpha male.

Hi L.A. This sounds so unique!! First I love what they did for the lettering of the book! So fitting for the title to! Is this a start to a Lycan series or have I missed some? I love those alphas! I love their strong personalities, I find they have a huge protectiveness too in them for the heroines. I like that. Yep I like the heroine to be independent, but me too myself I love to depend on my hero! Just their tough and strong personality is great reading and not to forget sizzling!

I usually like the alpha males I read about but do sometimes think they could not exist in the real world.

Absolutely right, Lindsey! They could not exist, at least not in the US. They’d be labeled as male chauvinists. Julie

I generally like all things about alpha males, but they can sometimes get to be a bit too confident and run into overbearing instead. At that point, I just get fed up with them. Luckily, though, most times the heroines are around to temper that.
