Back in Business

One new laptop later, I’m back in business. I had to dip into my holiday fund, which is a big pain, but the new laptop is very good. I’m not finding Windows Vista too bad so far. I also have a new external hard drive to use for backups along with my old flashdrives.

Mr. Munro and I had a busy weekend. We computer shopped – boy, what an experience that was. You really have to shop around for the best price. The service varies so much from shop to shop.

I threw away my old crosstrainer shoes when I was in the US since they were worn out. Rebel Sports had a sale so I’ve replaced them with a pair of running shoes. Yes, it’s true. I’m going to take up running again. When I was younger I used to run up to 10km a few times a week. I don’t know why I have the urge to start running again, but I decided to go with the flow. Any other runners out there?

Yesterday we stopped at our local Farmers’ Market before heading to visit family. The weekend just seemed to vanish. Suddenly it’s Monday again. The good thing is that I seem to have my writing mojo back. It’s returned from holiday and I’m looking forward to completing the book I’m working on at present.

Christina Phillips interviewed me a couple of weeks ago. You can read my words of wisdom here.

My Dynamic Trio buddy, TJ Michaels is having her annual Holiday Hotties contest. I’m giving away a download of Cat and Mouse. Find the details here.

So glad you’re back online, Shelley, and didn’t lose too much from the other computer. I always feel like part of me has been amputated when I’m without internet!

Glad you’re back up in business!

I’ve never run, but I’ve often thought of learning. There’s a store called The Running Room here in London and they have regular classes to teach people to run.

Glad you are back! I guess we both now have brand-spanking-new laptops. Our desktop is supposedly fixable but hubby might be giving up soon. I can’t wait to see what new books are lurking in that mind of yours. Oh, and I never run… I swim. LOL!
    Cheers!

It’s true I’ve felt as if my arms were missing without an Internet connection. Computer shopping did give me a headache. Actually, I think hubby had one too by the time we were finished.

Amy W – they say swimming is good for you. Have you tried water aerobics? It’s hard work. I swear I sweated despite the water!!

Glad to have you back, Shelley. And Kudos on wanting to get back into running. I find that on days I’ve been on the treadmill my creativity goes up. I wonder if you’ll find that happens once you get back into running.

Leah – I always use any exercise time to sort of plot in my head. It helps pass the time! I always feel so much better after exercise, even if I drag myself kicking and screaming to get started!

Actually I used to teach water aerobics at the YMCA. When we went home to California earlier this month I even had to fill in teaching a class for my mom because we had brought Emma along and the two of them played the whole time. LOL! Depending on the class, yes you can sweat a lot and it’s loads of fun!

Welcome back, Shelley! Always a good weekend when you find some bargains.

I’m not a runner, I’m a walker. I think getting out and moving helps the brain sort through ideas and get creative juices flowing.

    Great Interview!

I’m not a runner but I’m a walker. I wanted to be a runner but I can’t run for even ten minutes without being totally winded.

Glad you got your writing mojo back.
