Today it’s Spring Equinox in New Zealand, which means the sun is ready to officially spend more time in the southern hemisphere than the northern. I must admit I’m ready for warm, despite having had summer for most of the year. (we had a loooong summer here and then I had seven weeks of USA summer). The good thing is that my heavy winter clothes haven’t left the wardrobe. Yeah, bring on the shorts weather, I say.
For the month of October I’m participating in the Raven Annual Scavenger hunt. This year I’m giving away a print copy of Midnight Treat (signed by me). Watch this space for details.
I have a new cover. It’s for my 31 December release, Cat Burglar. Here it is….

And finally, I’ve had a few anxious moments with my computer, one of them this morning. I go to push the power button and nothing happens. The next few minutes I spend quietly panicking before I go into technician mode. This is where I crawl under my desk and pull out plugs and put them back in their sockets. Thankfully, this worked this morning, after I crawled under the desk twice and tried pulling out different plugs. Before I turn everything off tonight I’m backing up. I have my flashdrives ready to go. Meanwhile, if I disappear for a few days you’ll know my technician skills have failed and I’ve had to call in recruitments.

I forgot about this being the first day of our Fall in the Northern Hemisphere. Living in South Florida, it still feels like summer. I would so look forward to a change in season, to autumn, if my part of the world got it. I used to love Fall. Of course, I love all the seasons and I miss the changes. I can see why you’re ready for summer, since it’s a change and it’s a lovely time of year.

Ok, you are just mean to me sometimes. Taunting me with things I can’t have.
You know how I pine after your Middle Marches books. Sigh. Luckily we’ve rearranged our schedule for the trip out to California so now I’ll be here to buy and read your next one, Cat & Mouse! Yay! Just wish I had a Kindle so I could bring it on the plane, or a laptop for that matter so I could scrap/design. Yeah, like Emma will let me have any free time. Thanks for the visit the other day! Oh and I was wondering when the American cougar would be strutting it’s stuff into one of your Middle Marches books? Huh? (Short story material, all taking part in a beautiful American National Park.) LOL!
Hugs,
-Amy W.

LOL Amy. I live to tease. Kids and planes don’t always mix well, do they? For some reason I’ve noticed kids seem to get an extra load of energy just before they get on the plane!
I actually made notes for a series of cougar stories about three brothers while I was away, each one set in a different National Park. And funnily enough I was pondering a Middlemarch Quickie this morning with a lion. You might get your wish yet…

Yes, we are having fall Equinox right now. I’d love it to stay warm all the time!
Great Cover for Cat Burglar.

Oh crapola!
I missed the Autumn Equinox yesterday. The weather had been so bad, raining due to stationary low pressure, that I’d not have been able to go and celebrate anyway.
As for your computer, it can be either problems with the socket or the computer’s power supply.
