The subject for today’s post says it all. I’m home again and I have the flu. I feel pretty miserable and think I’m going to crawl back into bed. Mr. Munro seems to be on the mend. He no longer sounds like he’s coughing up his lungs, which gives me hope. I will make it. Neither of us are very good patients and our house isn’t a pleasant place to live at the moment.
We collected our little dog yesterday. I think my father and sister were relieved to hand over the responsibility. Scotty has put on weight and seemed to be happy to get home, despite the requisite bath.

Bummer about the flu, Shelley. Hope you feel good soon.
The ole chicken soup remedy is seems to work for me.
Or maybe it just reminds me of my mother. Either way, I feel better for it!

Take it easy, rest, and lots of fluids. You’ll feel better in no time. Your dog must be happy to see you.

Well, Mr. Munro went off to work today. I’m still coughing and spluttering but I’m up and about the place. I’ve been drinking my favorite remedy of hot whiskey, lemon and honey. Works for me.
Barbara – yes, I think our little dog is happy to be home. She seems to have aged a lot in the six weeks though and has very bad balance. It’s hard not to laugh but it’s also very sad. She really is a faithful companion.
