Restin’ the Blog

I’m going to take a wee blogging holiday until the New Year. Normal posts will resume on Mondays to Fridays from 1st January 2008.

Here’s wishing all my friends and visitors a happy and healthy 2008. May the new year deliver everything you desire.

I’m not generally one to make New Year resolutions but I have made a conscious decision to work extra hard in 2008 and make it a year to remember. 2007 held a few disappointments and set backs for me–just life getting in the way of my dreams–so, it’s onward and upward for 2008. I’m dusting off my dreams and preparing to get to work!

Do you make resolutions for each new year? Do you keep them?

    I don’t make resolutions—I know I’ll break them.

Worker harder? I thought you already work hard. Happy, Happy New Year to you, Mr. Munro and Scotty (the cutie pie-sounding dog). I wish you all your heart’s desire and continuous success this New Year.

    Best,
    Paz xxoo

Estella – you sound a bit like me. I know the moment I make a resolution to lose weight (for example) I’ll immediately start eating and burst right out of my jeans! I’m terrible at keeping New Year’s resolutions.

Hey, Paz! Said, cutie-pie dog is annoying me wanting a snack. I’m the go-to person for hugs and food.
Working harder? Maybe not, but I’m channeling my energies in a different direction that feels right enough for me to be excited. That’s got to be good, right?

LOL! I should have written “SMART cutie-pie dog.” Scotie certainly knows the right person to go to for snacks.

Ahh! If you’re moving in a direction that gets you excited, then you’re right — That is a GOOD thing. Definitely. ;-)

    Best wishes,
    Paz

    Happy New Year.

I don’t make new year resolutions any longer. It just makes me feel bad not keeping them.

Paz – yes, the dog has me well trained!

Christina – thank you! All the best to you, too, for a successful 2008

Gabriele – I know the feeling. I used to stress about not keeping my resolutions. Somehow it’s more fun (and easier!) being naughty about keeping resolutions. Hmmm, no wonder Santa used to be stingy with me. I never made his good list

The time to fix problems or make decisions is determined by the nature of the problems, not the calendar.

I’ve never made a New Year’s resolution and it seems a little late to start now.

Amy – very true! If we waited for the start of a new year to make decisions or correct problems we’d be in a bit of a pickle.

Hi Lucinda! Happy new year and best wishes to you.

Happy New Years!! My only goal 2007 was to get published and I did it. This year it’s to write 1000k a day, everyday.

I think 2008 is gonna be a great year for all of us!!!
