Progress for the Week

It’s been great to get back to work on my writing again, although I did do a little while I was in Hawaii. This week I sent off my Cavemen sub, and I’ve started a new Middlemarch story titled Cat and Mouse. I’ve been writing during the mornings and editing in the afternoons. I’m editing another Middlemarch story called Assassin. Hopefully I’ll get quite a bit done during the weekend since Mr. Munro is working.

My bookmarks arrived today, and they’re very pretty. Frauke from Croco Designs designed them for me and Printing for Less did the print job. I must say I was really impressed with the ease of ordering and efficient manner in which my job was carried out. I highly recommend both Fruake and Printing for Less.

I’ve read some wonderful books during the last three weeks. When I couldn’t pick which book to read first I decided to read in my books in alphabetical order as per my PDA. The system worked really well so I think I’ll use this method again. These are some of the books I enjoyed most of all. Alien Overnight by Robin Rotham, Fire and Rain by Lauren Dane, Gift of the Godess by Denise Rossetti, At Her Command by Marcia James and Dangerous Lover by Lisa Marie Rice.

Does anyone have a good read to recommend? One or two more books added to my to-read pile won’t make much difference since it’s a huge tower already!

  1. Oh I just loved Robin’s book I’ve read it twice now. I’m actually waiting for Lover Unbound right now. I haven’t read anything really in the past little while, but I’m looking for something new. I might have to check some of those others out.

  2. I’ve been hooked on the “Dresden Files” books by Jim Butcher. Then I discovered another gem, “Unshapely Things” by Mark del Franco. :)

  3. Robin’s book rocked. I am reading Lover Unbound right now. Any JR Ward Black Dagger Brotherhood is worth the read.

    :)

  4. I hope to see your Caveman soon. I’d recommend Patti O’Shea’s “In The Midnight Hour” which I loved.

  5. I’m waiting for Lover Unbound, too. I practically devoured the first four books earlier in the year.

Tempest, I discovered the Dreden Files last year. It’s great the things you can find out chatting on the Internet. I haven’t heard of the other, though so I’ll check it out.

    *raspberries* to you Amy!
    Color me Mr. Green.

Jennifer is that Patti’s newest one? I’ve read her sci-fi ones, which I loved.

  6. Are you in for an epic fun romp in a Rennaissance setting, exploring the backstory of Romeo and Juliet? If so, I’d recommend The Master of Verona by David Blixt.

Another one I liked a lot is Lois McMaster Bujold’s Curse of Chalion, a somewhat dark fantasy with a bit romance thrown in. Really cool worldbuilding and a very unusual MC.

  7. Ooh, they both sound good, too. I’m adding them to my list, Gabriele.

  8. Red Garnier’s book Villian was very different and a fascinating read. Not your typical story line at all. Jory Strong’s Mystic’s Run was awesome!

  9. Lover unbound. Waiting not so patiently for it to arrive!

Good luck on the Caveman sub! I’m going to sub one too. As soon as I finish it…
