Random Thoughts

About the most exciting thing that’s happened recently is the demise of Mr. Munro’s golf shoes (Yesterday he had to tape them up with masking tape so he could finish his round of golf) so I thought I’d give you some random thoughts to ponder. If you have an answer please tell all.

1. Why are so many countries around the world experiencing devastating floods this year? Including New Zealand.

2. Why do doubt demons strike just when a writer needs to buckle down and write hard and fast?
Shoo! I said. Shoo! Go away. I don’t want you in my office!

3. Why do traffic lights turn red the moment I start thinking about how I haven’t struck a single red light yet?

4. Why do drivers have to roar past in the outer lane only to just about cause an accident a few cars forward by trying to squeeze back into the stream of traffic?

Those are great thoughts to ponder. Global Warming? and it’s the red light karma.

That second one has been bothering me for quite sometime now. I can only think that doubt demons don’t take vacations, and are always lurking, reading to pounce when you least expect them. And that no voodoo priestess can exorcise them.

After a long, dry summer, the rain we’ve been getting lately is a blessing. Of course, the tremors haven’t stopped. Ugh!

Oh I really dislike the doubt demons. I mean you’d think after a while you’d start to settle into a routine and they’d go away. Hate them.

And the red light thing is karma. It happens to me all the time, not just red lights.

“Gee, we’ve been going along nicely this past while. No problems at all in my life…” WHAM!!!

LOL! Why, oh why, indeed!? ;-)

    All good questions.

Paz (whose sister calls her the dog advocate and who after reading post below thinks you should let the bone in the house for the dog )

yeah – have you noticed how SPECIAL you feel if you get all green lights? it’s like the whole world loves ya.

because. ya. didn’t. hit. a. red. light.

that could just be me though. grin!

Shelli – Red light karma – that must be it. All I know is that I have it!

Tempest: Doubt demons don’t take vacations? And here I thought I’d get rid of them for at least part of September

Silma – I can definitely do without tremors!

Christine – I’ve almost decided doubt demons are part of a writer’s life. Mine certainly like to spend time with me!

Terra – I hope you have an awesome week.

Paz – Nah, I bet if you’d seen the bone you wouldn’t have let it inside.

Rhian – It’s when you skite about green lights and being special that it all falls apart. I just groaned when that sucker changed. Hubby thought it was hysterical.

Shelley, let’s stomp down those doubt demons together. This last book has been kicking my a$$ and I just don’t have time for that!
